Abstract

The aim of this paper is to investigale the notions of equity and distributive justice in theoretical literatura on welfare economics as well as distribution and its intepretation in the problem of geographically assigning financial health resources in Spain, in an attempt to draw up alternativa ways of interpreting the assignation criteria foreseen in the General Law on Publich Health. A model it built using a series of properties which are asked of a correct rule of assignation, and it is proved that the only assignation rule which satisfies the properties required is the «maxmin» rule , the one that equals the health leves of all the communities. Afterwards theoretical results are analyzed as well as their possible application within the articles of the General Health Law.
