Abstract

The main economic objective for next years in Euskadi is to achieve a high and increasing standard of living for its inhabitants. The attainment of this aim faces with an important challenge: Euskadi is giving up its tradicional competitive advantages in internacional markets. To stop this declining process it is necessary to develop new specialized. and sustainable advantages. The present work tries to identify the main factors inducing this competitiveness. Those factors will allow, in a second stage, to implement the necessary actions in order to achieve the objective of greater prosperity.
