Abstract

Concentration on trade and entrepeneurial dynamism have a substancial influence on the aqro-food sector. This article reviews, initially, both aspects and goes on to highlight the profitability of the different types of products for the distributor. Following this, a preview is made of the tendencias distributors will take with respect to agro-food products, with a view to the year 2000, standing out the role granted to distributor trademark products and to the purchasing eurocentres. Finally, some strategic options are offered in order to respond to this scenario better.
