Abstract

The paper which is presentes here has the aim of describing the studies on which the altemative which was finally adopted for the Metropolitan Railway of Bilbao was based. The social, economic and other types of benefits which the chosen solution generales for the entire Area of «Gran Bilbao», Vizcaya and the Autonomous Community as a whole, are also described.
