Foreign borrowings of the Ukrainian banks under the financial and economic crisis

Abstract

The author analyzes the dynamics and structure of the foreign debt of Ukrainian banks in 2008 and justifies economic preconditions for external borrowing and their repayment in the future periods. She generalizes the tendencies of the credit resources pricing and criteria of the assessment of the solvency of Ukrainian banks by foreign investors and creditors, as well as factors, which will affect the prospects of the banks' borrowing on the foreign financial markets in 2009-2010.
