Models to assess the stimulating effect of taxation

Author

Listed:
  • S. Mischenko

Abstract

The article deals with modeling the impact of the taxation system on economic activities. In particular, the author investigates the stimulating effects of taxation. The article proposes a model to assess the effect of tax change on the economy, which allows for separated 'fast' and 'slow' interactions. The author considers the conceptual principles of the long-term impact of tax rates on the amount of tax revenues and proves the potential possibility to raise the budget revenues by lowering tax rates.
