Turkiye’de Kentlerde Dogurganlik Hizini Etkileyen Faktorler: Path Analizi Yaklasimi

Abstract

Bu calismada, kentlerin gelismislik gostergelerinden biri olarak kabul edilen dogurganlik hizi uzerinde egitim, sanayilesme, gelir ve kentlesme duzeylerinin dolaysiz, dolayli ve toplam etkileri Path analizi yaklasimi ile incelenmektedir. Calisma 81 ilin 2001 yili yatay kesit verilerine dayanmaktadir. Calisma bulgulari, Turkiye’de kentlerin dogurganlik hizi uzerinde okullasma orani, kentlesme orani, kisi basina gelir duzeyi ve sanayilesme duzeyinin istatistiki olarak anlamli etkileri oldugunu gostermektedir. Okullasma orani, kisi basina milli gelir ve sanayilesme duzeyi yukseldikce dogurganlik hizinin azaldigi buna karsin kentlesme orani ile dogurganlik hizi arasinda pozitif iliski oldugu tespit edilmistir. Ancak, kentlesme oraninin dogurganlik hizi uzerindeki dolaysiz etkisi pozitif iken dolayli etkisinin negatif oldugu tespit edilmistir. Dolayisi ile her iki etkinin bilesiminden olusan toplam etkinin negatif oldugu belirlenmistir. Toplam etki acisindan tum aciklayici degiskenler ile dogurganlik hizi arasinda negatif iliski oldugu tespit edilmistir.
