Estimación del Stock de Capital en México: 1998.I-2019.I

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se realiza una estimación trimestral del stock de capital de México para el primer trimestre de 1998 al primer trimestre del 2019, utilizando el Método de Inventarios Perpetuos (MIP) corregido por un factor de ajuste. Se encuentra que la serie obtenida es consistente con la dinámica de la inversión total y el producto. Esta investigación pretende convertirse en un aporte que brinde una serie de acervos de capital para México, que en primera instancia sirva como un insumo de consulta para trabajos referentes al estudio del crecimiento económico, el análisis de la acumulación de capital, la estimación de la tasa de ganancia, etc. Adicionalmente, se ofrece una metodología que puede ser fácilmente reproducida para otros países en los que exista poca disponibilidad de series oficiales del stock de capital.
