Slash distributions of the sum of independent logistic random variables

Abstract

The slash distribution of the sum of independent logistic random variables is introduced. For the distribution of the sum of two logistic random variables, the characteristic function and several distributional identities are obtained. The self-decomposability of this distribution is proved.
