Abstract

This letter reports the finding of a novel two-dimensional discrete chaotic system. The new system is based on the recently proposed one-dimensional discrete chaotic system with rational fraction [J.-A. Lu, X. Wu, J. Lü, L. Kang. A new discrete chaotic system with rational fraction and its dynamical behaviors. Chaos, Solitons & Fractals 2004; 22: 311]. We studied the dynamical behavior and investigated its tracking and synchronization. Sufficient conditions for tracking and synchronization are deduced. Finally, numerical simulations are provided for illustration and verification.
