Abstract

This paper recovers stationary optical soliton solutions when chromatic dispersion, in addition to self–phase modulation, is rendered to be nonlinear. The extended trial function algorithm recovers stationary soliton solutions for eleven forms of nonlinear refractive index structures of optical fibers. The technical criteria for the existence of such stationary solitons are also presented.
