El efecto de la crisis económica en el mercado laboral femenino de México, 1987-2016

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el mercado laboral femenino ante los efectos de la crisis económica en México. El análisis se realiza sobre la base de datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Empleo Urbano (ENEU) y la Encuesta Nacional de Ocupación y Empleo (ENOE) correspondientes al período 1987-2016 y la aplicación de la técnica de descomposición salarial propuesta por Juhn, Murphy y Pierce (1991 y 1993). Entre los resultados más relevantes se encontró que la desigualdad salarial por razón de género persiste en el país, aunque con una ligera tendencia a la baja, explicada en mayor medida por los factores inobservables, con un comportamiento contracíclico.
