Ingiltere’de Enerji Ar-Ge Harcamalari ile Enerji Tuketimi Iliskisi: Yapisal Kirilmali Esbutunlesme Analizi

Abstract

Cevresel bozulmalar ve küresel isinma enerjinin verimli kullaniminin onemini artirmiþtir. Enerjide artan verimlilik, daha az enerjiyle daha fazla cikti elde edilmesini saglamaktadir. Yuksek verimlilik ise artan teknolojik gelismelerle paralellik gostermektedir. Teknolojik gelismelerin bir gostergesi enerji alaninda yapilan Ar-Ge harcamalaridir. Bu calismada Ingiltere icin yenilenebilir enerji, yenilenemez enerji ve nukleer enerji alanlarinda yapilan Ar-Ge harcamalarinin toplam enerji tuketimi uzerindeki etkisi 1990-2018 donemi yillik verileriyle incelenmektedir. Ampirik yontem olarak yapisal kirilmalarin içsel olarak modele dahil edildigi Zivot ve Andrews (1992) birim kok testi ve Gregory ve Hansen (1996) esbütünlesme testi kullanilmistir. Ampirik bulgular esbutunleþme iliskisinin varlýgýný gostermistir. Uzun donem katsayýlarýnýn Tam Degistirilmis En Kucuk Kareler Yontemi (FMOLS) ve Kanonik Koentegrasyon Regresyon (CCR) tahmincileri ile elde edildigi calýsmada; Ingiltere’de uzun donemde fosil yakýt ve nukleer enerji alaninda yapýlan Ar-Ge harcamalarinin enerji tuketimini azalttigi, yenilenebilir enerji alaninda yapilan Ar-Ge harcamalarinin ise enerji tüketimini artirdigi sonucuna ulasilmistýr.
