Türkiye’de Bilgi-Ýletiþim, Eðitim, Saðlýk ve Ekonomik Büyüme Ýliþkisi: Ampirik Bir Yaklaþým

Abstract

Küreselleþmenin kontrol edilemez boyutlara ulaþtýðý günümüz dünyasýnda sosyal, siyasi ve kültürel alandaki geliþmeler ve deðiþiklikler ekonomik büyümeye verilen önemi daha da anlamlý kýlmaktadýr. Bu baðlamda beþeri sermaye faktörü, ekonomik büyümenin belirleyicilerinden olarak ön plana çýkmaktadýr. Bu çalýþma literatürdeki diðer çalýþmalardan farklý olarak bilgi-iletiþim, eðitim ve saðlýk sektörleri ile ekonomik büyüme arasýndaki kýsa ve uzun dönemli iliþkiyi tek tek deðil bir arada ele alarak incelemektedir. Söz konusu iliþki 1998:1 – 2014:3 dönemine ait 1988 bazlý reel üçer aylýk veriler kullanýlarak zaman serisi analiziyle test edilmiþtir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre bilgi deðiþkeninin katsayýsý istatistiksel olarak anlamlýyken diðer deðiþkenlerin katsayýlarý anlamlý deðildir. Bilgi, eðitim ve saðlýk sektöründeki cari dönem geliþmeler ayný dönemdeki GSYH’yý pozitif olarak etkilemektedir. GSYH’nýn en duyarlý olduðu sektör bilgi ve iletiþim sektörüdür. Bu sektördeki %1’lik bir üretim artýþý GSYH’da yaklaþýk %0,55 bir artýþa neden olmaktadýr.
