| Abstract |
We present a comparative analysis of economic growth and development in China e India, in comparison with Indonesia, Japan, Korea and Philippines and other Asian countries and with world development, analysing the major factors which explain the impressive growth of China and the differences among countries. The analysis includes the estimation of an econometric model of inter-sector relationships in China, which shows the important positive impact that industrial growth has had on other sectors. We also analyse the positive impact of education on development.
