Interpretacija pokopališč kot del turistične ponudbe: primer dobre prakse

Abstract

Ljudje imamo nekaj skupnih točk, in ena teh točk je smrt, kateri se nihče ne more izogniti. Fascinacija s tem zadnjim dejanjem življenja, filozofije in religije, ki so razlagale življenje po smrti in rituali, ki iz njih izhajajo, so bili zmeraj v središču človekove pozornosti. Toda ali lahko to zadnje dejanje postane turistična atrakcija? Članek se osredotoča na majhno in neznano pokopališče na Aljaski kot na študijo primera, da bi pokazali, kako lahko pokopališča nudijo različne možnosti za interpretacijo. Podatke smo pridobili na internetu in z metodo opazovanja z udeležbo na potovanju po Aljaski in ogledu mesta in pokopališča Skagway.
