Verkehr in Europa: Trotz Wachstumsverminderung noch hohe Zunahmen im Straßenverkehr

Abstract

Das Verkehrssystem ist fuer die Integration der europaeischen Volkswirtschaften von wesentlicher Bedeutung. Fuer seine kuenftige Gestaltung sind differenzierte Informationen ueber die Verkehrsentwicklung im europaeischen Rahmen erforderlich. Im vorliegenden Bericht werden die langfristigen Trends der Verkehrsentwicklung in den westeuropaeischen Laendern dargestellt, und es wird ein Ausblick auf die kuenftige Entwicklung gegeben. Auch fuer Osteuropa werden - soweit moeglich - Informationen zusammengestellt. In Anbetracht der schmalen Datenbasis kann allerdings keine vollstaendige und differenzierte statistische Abbildung der gesamten europaeischen Verkehrsnachfrage erwartet werden. Es geht vielmehr darum, ein Mosaik aus einzelnen Statistiken und Untersuchungen soweit zusammenzusetzen, dass die wichtigsten Entwicklungen sichtbar, aber auch Luecken deutlich werden, die bei der Datenbereitstellung noch zu schliessen sind.
