VR China: Wachstumsdynamik nur in Küstenregionen?

Abstract

Das kräftige Wirtschaftswachstum in China strahlt auf die asiatische Region aus. Es sind Ansätze zu einer "Chinesischen Wirtschaftsregion" oder einem "Wachstumspol" zu erkennen, zu dem u.a. Hongkong, Macao und Taiwan gehören. Innerhalb der Volksrepublik aber hat das Hinterland nur wenig an der" Politik der Öffnung" und dem Boom an der Küste teil. Diese rückständigen Gebiete stärker an den Landesdurchschnitt heranzuführen, ist eine wichtige Aufgabe für die neue, wenn auch erst im Ansatz erkennbare Regionalpolitik Chinas. Daneben müssen die alten Industrieregionen weiter "demilitarisiert" und diversifiziert werden. Bei den dynamischen Küstenregionen und Sonderwirtschaftszonen geht es vor allem um den Abbau diskriminierender Praktiken gegenüber Auslandsinvestoren.
