Rekordrückgang der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Produktion: die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland im ersten Quartal 1993

Abstract

Die Analyse der konjunkturellen Entwicklung in Deutschland ist derzeit erheblich beeinträchtigt. Der Wegfall der Erfassung des Handels mit den EG-Ländern (lntra-EG-Handel) auf der Grundlage von Zollpapieren hat zum Ausfall statistischer Informationen über den gesamten grenzüberschreitenden Warenverkehr geführt, das heißt, es fehlen auch Informationen über den Außenhandel mit den Nicht-EG-Ländern. Nach den Erfahrungen, die bei der Einführung des EG-Einheitspapiers im Jahr 1988 gemacht wurden - seinerzeit gab es einen deutlichen Bruch in den Zeitreihen der Außenhandelsstatistik -, ist damit zu rechnen, daß Ersatzlösungen die Lücken im Berichtssystem - wenn überhaupt - nur unvollkommen schließen werden. Die Schätzung der Außenhandelsentwicklung in diesem Bericht stützt sich u.a. auf die Entwicklung von Auftragseingang und Auslandsumsatz, sowie von Produktion und Nachfrage im Inland und Ausland. Der Berechnung des Bruttoinlandsprodukts über die Beiträge der Wirtschaftsbereiche kommt somit noch größere Bedeutung zu.
