Deutsche Vereinigung prägt Subventionsentwicklung

Abstract

Die Subventionsentwicklung in Gesamtdeutschland wird durch die Anstrengungen geprägt, die der wirtschaftliche Ti"ansformationsprozeß in Ostdeutschland erfordert. Einsparungen an anderer Stelle zur Bewältigung der finanziellen Lasten im Zusammenhang mit der deutschen Einheit haben sich –trotz gegenteiliger Absichtserklärungen - nur in engen Grenzen realisieren lassen. Auch künftig ist mit einem radikalen Subventionsabbau in Westdeutschland - wie er weiterhin gefordert wird - nicht zu rechnen. In Ostdeutschland sind Subventionen zur Bewältigung der anstehenden Aufgaben noch auf längere Zeit erforderlich; sie werden in ihrer quantitativen Bedeutung eher noch zunehmen.
