REA-Gips als Substitutionsrohstoff für Naturgips

Abstract

Die gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Nachrüstung der Kraftwerke mit Rauchgasentschwefelungsanlagen (REA) war am 30. Juni 1988 abgeschlossen. Im Jahre 1990 erreichte der Anfall von REA-Gips in Westdeutschland rund 3,3 Mill. t, 1991 bereits 3,5 Mill. t. Während 1990 fast 2 Mill. t Gips aus Steinkohlekraftwerken im In- und Ausland in der Gips- und der Zementindustrie verwertet wurden, mußte das aus Braunkohlekraftwerken stammende Material, das auf dem deutschen Markt u.a. wegen seiner Farbe noch keine Akzeptanz gefunden hat, im wesentlichen deponiert werden. Da der Inlandsmarkt 1990 nur etwa zwei Drittel des Steinkohlengips aufnahm, spielte der Export eine wichtige Rolle für die Verwertung von REA-Gips. Mit der Inbetriebnahme von RE-Anlagen in Steinkohlekraftwerken der Bezieherländer dürften sich die Exportmöglichkeiten deutlich reduzieren. Zwar kann Naturgips in erheblichem Umfang durch REA-Gips substituiert werden, ein vollständiger Ersatz wird aber nicht möglich sein.
