Grundlinien der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung Berlins 1991/1992

Abstract

Auch 1991 war die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in den beiden Teilen Berlins sehr unterschiedlich. Im Osten der Stadt wurde das Bild von der Umstellungskrise geprägt, Produktion und Beschäftigung gingen weiter zurück. Im Westteil nahmen Leistung und Beschäftigung abermals deutlich zu, die Zuwachsraten lagen weit über dem Durchschnitt der alten Bundesländer. Das Wachstumstempo in West-Berlin verliert nun an Fahrt. Die reale wirtschaftliche Leistung dürfte 1992 um 2 vH höher sein als im Vorjahr, nach 6 vH im Jahr 1991. Im Ostteil der Stadt wird die Produktion, von dem niedrigen Niveau aus, anziehen und um rund 10 vH über dem Vorjahresergebnis liegen. Insgesamt errechnet sich für die Stadt ein Leistungszuwachs von 3 1/2 vH. Die Beschäftigungsprobleme werden sich in beiden Teilen Berlins verschärfen.
