Abstract

To show their added value, social economy enterprises, including worker cooperatives (Scop) are developing CSR approaches. To show how the management control tools and practices are mobilized in worker cooperatives, we use the concept of global performance and the theoretical frameworks of control levers (Simons, 1991, 1995) and management tools (Hatchuel and Weil, 1992). Our five case studies emphasize that diagnostic and interactive control systems allow a balance of control levers to drive the global performance and to report the social utility of the Scop.
