Води Ли Въвеждането На Еврото До Висока Инфлация? Мит Или Факт?

Abstract

Замяната на местната валута с еврото води до редица дискусии, коментари, спорове, най-честите от които са свързани с въпросите относно нарастващите общи нива на цените на стоките и услугите. Обект на изследването са държавите, които приеха единната европейска валута след 2007 година. Не се разглеждат Кипър и Малта поради ограниченията за обем. Целта на статията е да разгледа фактите относно мита за високата инфлация след приемането на еврото, да установи дали този мит е съществен или може да бъде опроверган. За изпълняването на целта ще се проучи опитът на новоприсъединилите се държави при въвеждането на единната валута, ще се анализират нивата на инфлация и промяната в годините след приемането им в еврозоната. Тезата, която следва да се доказва или отхвърля, е, че приемането на еврото не оказва съществено влияние върху цените на стоките и услугите в приемащата новата валута държава, а ако се наблюдават инфлационни процеси, то те са с темповете от предходните години.
