Abstract

Причините за регионалните различия са анализирани от теоретична гледна точка. Емпирично е изследвано въздействието на Кохезионната политика на Европейския съюз върху жизнения стандарт в областите на България. Формулирани са препоръки за максимализиране на полезния ефект на тази политика върху регионите у нас. Застъпва се тезата, че икономическите диспропорции между регионите са причина за социалните и демографските такива. Поради тази причина изследването се фокусира върху икономическите междурегионални различия и въздействието върху тях на Кохезионната (Регионалната) политика на Европейския съюз, която представлява инструмент на Общността за постигане на икономическо и социално сближаване. .
