Обществени Нагласи Относно Европейска Социална Политика (По Данни От 8 Вълна На Ess)

Abstract

Социалната политика е често пренебрегвана в публичните дискурси относно европейската интеграция, макар че е важно средство на засилване на нейната легитимност. На основата на систематичен анализ на масовите нагласи към европейското обединение, измерени в Осмата вълна на Европейското социално изследване (ESS), тази статия показва, че в ЕС като цяло европейците са склонни да подкрепят въвеждането на общо-европейска схема за социално подпомагане и да смятат, че вземането на повече решения на наднационално равнище ще подобри социалната сигурност за всички. На равнището на отделните страни гражданите са разделени в своите предпочитания към национална или европейска социално-осигурителна система. На индивидуално равнище ниско-статусните групи в отделните страни са посклонни да подкрепят общоевропейски социални мерки, отколкото гражданите на по-високите етажи на социалната пирамида. Разширяването на интеграцията към по-активна наднационална социална политика ще осигури подкрепата именно на групите, които днес се чувстват изоставени от европейския проект.
