Abstract

Due to globalization, digitalization and flexibilization, in order to be successful in highly competitive markets, it is essential for companies to operate in inter-organizational and transnational cooperation projects. The outcome of such international business cooperation depends not only on economical, managerial and technical factors, but also on aspects of trust. This paper deals with influencing factors on trust as well as a definition of what trust might be. Based on our empirical insights, we will first represent challenges and the process of generating trust in collaborative contexts and then point out specific implications that might be useful in order to make business cooperation more successful and efficient. Therefore, a specific tool has been developed to be presented in the end.
