Abstract

It is assumed that intrapreneurship helps organizations to stay profitable and create future value. Intrapreneurship describes the process of employees acting as entrepreneurs within an existing organization. The research concentrates on organizational obstacles and resistance occurring in the intrapreneurship process. A set of hypothetical influences of organizational culture, structure and leadership as obstacles as well as resistance has been empirically tested. The majority of the hypothetical influences showed statistically significant values. The empirical study shows that the concept of obstacles and resistance is a meaningful addition to the existing framework of intrapreneurship.
