Abstract

Sobre el concepto de «protoindustrialización»Dentro de los temas relacionados con el estudio de la revolución industrial, el de la llamada industria rural cobra a partir de principios de los años sesenta una particular relevancia, a la que contribuye su inclusión como tema en el II Congreso Internacional de Historia Económica, celebrado en Aix-en-Provence, el año 1962. Veinte años más tarde, en el programa del VIII Congreso, tras constaar este aumento del interés sobre el tema, se hace referencia al mismo con una denominación distinta: «protoindustrialización».
