Rawls and the economics. The lessons of the archives of Harvard

Author

Listed:
  • Rima Hawi

Abstract

The aim of this article is to show that it is through economics Rawls has laid the foundation of justice as fairness, he has identified its main elements. For this, we study his published works but we also rely on his archives in Harvard. Surprisingly, Rawls has never put forward the role played by economics in its theory, multiplying however philosophical references. It is, consequently, a reconstructed work we’re doing in this paper.
