La aportación del gasto militar al desarrollo: justificación del gasto militar a nivel global

Abstract

De manera repetitiva se abre el debate respecto a la justificación económica y social del gasto militar, este aún no se considera una inversión, además de ser criticado de manera incisiva y comparado con la inversión social por la opinión pública. Para quienes se especializan en ramas relacionadas con la Seguridad y la Defensa estatal, y para analistas económicos, esto sigue siendo un tema de discrepancia y de continua reflexión. Como aporte a la disciplina de Economía de Defensa resulta importante enriquecer este tipo de debates de manera continua con nuevos argumentos e innovadoras conclusiones, para que, a futuro, el Estado pueda tomar decisiones más certeras que cuenten con el respaldo de la opinión pública y la confianza de la ciudadanía.
