Análisis introductorio al mercado dual de trabajo

Abstract

En el artículo se examina el fenómeno de la informalidad a la luz del modelo dual del mercado de trabajo. Con ese objetivo, se ilustra al lector, cómo a partir de la dinámica suscitada en el sector formal de la economía laboral, se desprenden efectos simultáneos en la plataforma informal de trabajo. En particular, se estudia el impacto de un incremento en los salarios reales, ambos casos a través de una externalidad originada en acciones de política económica gubernamental; a juzgar por sus efectos, se conviene la existencia de un estrecho vínculo entre las dos partes a través de sus interacciones; en ese mismo sentido, se reconoce la trascendencia del mercado informal en el sostenimiento de la tesis neoclásica de pleno empleo y, se advierte como tarea indispensable la redefinición del concepto de formalidad y subempleo, dadas por supuesto sus implicaciones, esta última parte posibilita estructurar una crítica social al modelo.
