Evaluación del potencial turístico de las playas del departamento del Atlántico – Colombia, desde la perspectiva ambiental

Abstract

Para la evaluación del potencial turístico en las playas del departamento del Atlántico se utilizaron dos metodologías: una que propone Reyes y Sanchez (2005) y la otra recomendada por el Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo (2010), lo que permitió finalmente plantear un índice de potencial turístico para las playas en Colombia, teniendo en cuenta las dos metodología utilizadas y donde se definieron tres componentes y catorce variables para evaluar un potencial turístico desde el ámbito ambiental. La aplicación de este índice arrojó que de las 15 playas evaluadas, 2 playas obtuvieron bajo potencial turístico, 9 medio y 4 medio alto. Este índice se propone como herramienta para evaluar el potencial turístico de las playas en Colombia, con el propósito de brindar herramientas de gestión basadas en el uso de indicadores a las administraciones públicas y privadas con referente al manejo integrado de las playas y el desarrollo turístico del departamento. ****** To evaluate the potential for tourism in the beaches of the Departamento del Atlántico ther were used two methodologies: one that proposes Reyes and Sanchez (2005) and one recommended by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (2010), finally allowing pose a potential index Resort to the beaches in Colombia, considering both methodology used and which defined three components to evaluate variables and fourteen tourist potential from the environmental. The application of this index fearlessness that of the 15 beaches tested, 2 beaches were low tourist potential, 9 medium and 4 medium high. This index is proposed as a tool to assess the tourism potential of the beaches in Colombia, with the purpose of providing management tools based on the use of indicators to the public and private administrations concerning the integrated management of the beaches and tourist development department.
