La papa: un alimento de oportunidades con opciones de comercialización internacional

Abstract

La papa es base de muchas preparaciones en la mesa, sus deriva-dos crean oportunidades de negocio y desarrollo para las zonas donde se cultiva. La comercialización, el suministro y el abastecimiento de la papa y sus derivados ha crecido, dado por el uso de nuevas tecnologías que prevén una propuesta rentable desde el sector productivo y competitivo. Este artículo describe el proceso de integración entre la cadena de producción y las oportunidades de comercialización y derivación que tiene la papa; una mirada internacional es imperante para los comparativos de las características, variedades, empaques, cadenas productivas y comercialización que se hace en países industrializados que han forjado la base desde el consumo, la trasformación y derivados que contribuyen a su PIB con solidez en pro de una mejor calidad de vida.
