Alicia en el estado de bienestar

Abstract

En este artículo, el País de las Maravillas recorrido por Alicia es equiparado por el autor al estado de bienestar para, a modo de metáfora, mostrar las “fantasías” de un modelo de Estado abocado al colapso y las soluciones con las que se pretende corregir. La poderosa inercia del statu quo como obstáculo de partida, fortalecida gracias a la espiral del silencio que condiciona la opinión pública; las pequenas reformas y el gatopardismo como maniobras de distracción; y modelos y axiomas que se presentan como “mitos” o “demonios” para uniformar un pensamiento político renuente al redimensionamiento del Estado se presentan como las principales resistencias al cambio, especialmente referidas al caso espanol, que provocan que los efectos de los procesos de reforma se queden, como las aventuras de Alicia, más en el mundo de la imaginación que en la realidad.
