Políticas locales de empleo en cuatro municipios del Valle de Aburrá, Colombia

Abstract

El propósito principal de este trabajo es analizar la trascendencia que han tomado las políticas locales de empleo en Colombia. Para cumplir con este objetivo, se hace una revisión de los fundamentos que se platean desde el enfoque del desarrollo endógeno sobre el diseno y la evaluación de las políticas activas para la generación de empleo en las administraciones locales. Para ilustrar la importancia de estas nuevas acciones en el mercado laboral, se utiliza la experiencia en Colombia de cuatro municipios del Valle de Aburrá antioqueno, donde se evidencia una mayor preocupación de las autoridades locales por jugar un papel más activo en la solución del problema del desempleo, a pesar de que no cuentan con el marco apropiado para garantizar acciones altamente efectivas en materia laboral.
