ResumenLa vasta expansión del crédito a lo largo de los últimos 20 anos, ha creado las condiciones para una importante crisis financiera mundial. Por otro lado, el Banco Mundial ha admitido que el capital ya no está fluyendo desde los países de alto ingreso hacia las economías que lo necesitan para apoyar su progreso", es decir, que los países pobres están financiando a los ricos. Finalmente, la integración de los tratados de libre comercio y el ALCA consisten, para los países Latinoamericanos, en comprar más de la economía estadounidense y venderles menos.
