Productividad y crecimiento económico. Colombia 1950-2002

Abstract

ResumenEn este trabajo se realiza un contraste empírico en busca de los determinantes del crecimiento económico colombiano en el período 1950-2002. La mayor parte del crecimiento del Producto Interno Bruto es generado por el crecimiento de la productividad multifactorial. Según estudios realizados para Colombia, el crecimiento de esta última, viene determinado por el aumento del acervo de infraestructura, es decir, más y mejores vías, avances en los sistemas de comunicación, etc. Otro factor importante para explicar el crecimiento de la productividad es la formación de capital humano, una mano de obra cada vez más calificada tiene la posibilidad de producir más y mejores bienes y servicios, además, de hacer posible organizar los procesos productivos de una manera tal que se logren incrementos sucesivos en la productividad.
