Beneficios económicos del Acuerdo de Paz en Colombia

Abstract

En este trabajo se evalúan dos fuentes del impacto del Acuerdo de Paz con las FARC en el crecimiento económico: la reducción permanente en la intensidad del conflicto armado y la realización de Inversiones para la Paz con recursos del Presupuesto General de la Nación (PGN). Los resultados sugieren que el Acuerdo de Paz aportaría en promedio 0,17pp-0,28pp al crecimiento económico entre 2017 y 2031. Dentro de este efecto, la desmovilización de las FARC aportaría 0,05pp-0,16pp por ano al crecimiento del PIB durante 10 anos, mientras que las Inversiones para la Paz impulsarían el crecimiento en promedio en 0,12pp por ano, en respuesta a la destinación de mayores recursos a sectores relativamente más productivos. Además, los resultados muestran que el Acuerdo de Paz contribuirá al proceso de convergencia regional, y que las actividades económicas que más se beneficiarían con su implementación son agricultura, construcción y comercio. Por último, se estima que el crecimiento del PIB potencial aumentaría entre 0,07pp y 0,19pp.
