Impacto de la reforma pensional y escenarios alternativos

Abstract

Este artículo presenta la evaluación de la situación actual del Sistema General de Pensiones colombiano. Además muestra dos alternativas de reforma del sistema. La primera de ellas contempla la reforma propuesta por el presidente Alvaro Uribe, la segunda propone la concentración en el largo plazo del sistema en el régimen de ahorro individual, incluyendo la creación de una administradora de fondos de pensiones del Instituto de los Seguros Sociales. Los resultados de la simulación de estas alternativas lo que muestran es que, aunque, la reforma propuesta por el gobierno actual mejora la situación actual del sistema pensional, el impacto de la segunda alternativa que concentra el sistema en el ahorro individual es mayor.
