Vínculos interregionales en la economía colombiana del siglo XIX: El empresariado de la Costa Caribe en el interior del país, 1840 - 1880

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza mediante tres estudios de caso las actividades de los empresarios del Caribe colombiano en el interior del país durante el siglo XIX. Se examinan los negocios de la familia Amador, Juan Bautista Mainero y la familia Fergusson Noguera. Se pretende con ello resaltar la importancia del estudio de los fenómenos interregionales, evidenciando la existencia de ámbitos nacionales en los grandes negocios en el siglo XIX. Así, se aportan elementos para una mejor comprensión del proceso histórico de integración económica del país.
