Controles a los flujos de capital en economías emergentes: los casos de Chile y Argentina

Abstract

La preocupación con respecto a la vulnerabilidad de la economía ante los posibles efectos desestabilizadores de los flujos de capital internacionales, cambiantes según el contexto económico mundial, llevan a los países, principalmente a aquellos con economías emergentes por ser los más vulnerables, a plantearse la posibilidad de implementar controles a dichos flujos. Los casos específicos de Argentina y Chile, países en los que efectivamente se han implementado controles de capital serán estudiados; la comparación de los modelos de política aplicados en estos países nos permitirá llegar a importantes conclusiones sobre la efectividad de las medidas de control de capital en economías emergentes.
