Intermediacion laboral

Abstract

El presente documento discute el concepto de intermediación laboral desde tres perspectivas: susfundamentos microeconómicos, su funcionamiento y reglamentación, y su aplicación en países dela OCDE, América Latina, y Colombia. Utilizando los resultados del modelo microeconómico, sediscuten los efectos de la gestión de intermediación y se caracterizan los esquemas de prestaciónde servicios de intermediación en mercados de trabajo con información imperfecta. La principalconclusión indica que la intermediación laboral es menos efectiva en países en los cuales existe unaalta concentración de trabajadores con niveles bajos de capacitación, y altos niveles de informalidaddebido a la separación de los trabajadores más productivos de los menos productivos, ocasionadapor la gestión de la intermediación.
