Análisis de la contaminación del suelo: revisión de la normativa y posibilidades de regulación económica

Abstract

Este artículo tiene como objetivo central hacer un análisis económico del problema de la contaminacióndel suelo por el uso de plaguicidas en las actividades agrícolas. Así, mediante una revisión bibliográfica analítica, se hizo un reconocimiento de la normativa ambiental nacional e internacionalen torno al control de la contaminación del suelo. También se muestra la importancia económicadel recurso suelo a través de la revisión de algunos estudios de valoración económica del suelo yde ecosistemas. Este trabajo concluye que para pasar de un simple esquema normativo a uno deverdadera regulación en el uso de plaguicidas en actividades agrícolas, es necesario centrarse en lautilización de instrumentos económicos en combinación con instrumentos de comando y control,para garantizar la generación de incentivos que potencien la minimización de impactos ambientalesnegativos por parte de los agentes responsables de la contaminación del suelo.
