Trabajo, tiempo libre y movilidad cotidiana en México 2014

Abstract

La movilidad cotidiana por motivos laborales se refiere a los viajes recurrentes con patrones específicos de horarios que se hacen día a día. Esta movilidad guarda un impacto directo en la distribución del tiempo de las personas para los trabajos extradomésticos, domésticos y de cuidados, además en el tiempo libre destinado al descanso, al ocio y la recreación. El objetivo de esta investigación es determinar la magnitud del efecto que la movilidad cotidiana por motivos de trabajo tiene en el tiempo libre, en el trabajo extradoméstico, doméstico y de cuidados. Se emplea la Encuesta Nacional de Uso del Tiempo (ENUT) 2014. Los hallazgos indican que sí existe un efecto negativo de la movilidad cotidiana por motivos laborales que reduce el tiempo libre; además, a partir de otras variables, se evidencian las desigualdades de género latentes en el uso del tiempo de la población ocupada.
