Eficiencia del transporte público en la ciudad de Morelia, Michoacán (México) en el ano 2015: un análisis de la envolvente de datos

Abstract

Este artículo es el resultado de una investigación que se realiza para conocer el nivel de eficiencia del transporte público en la ciudad de Morelia, Michoacán (México) en el ano 2015, abarcando las 46 rutas de colectivo urbano que circulan en la ciudad. Para ello se utilizó la metodología del Análisis de la Envolvente de Datos (DEA), llevando a cabo el cálculo de la Eficiencia Técnica Global mediante el modelo de Charnes, Cooper y Rhodes (CCR), la Eficiencia Técnica Pura con el modelo de Banker, Charnes y Cooper (BCC), y la Eficiencia de Escala (EE). Los resultados se obtuvieron a partir de las variables unidades, horas, frecuencia, viajes y kilómetros recorridos. Con los resultados obtenidos se pudo observar que la eficiencia técnica global estuvo determinada por la eficiencia de escala, donde se tuvo en promedio un nivel de eficiencia de 0,93 y la mayor parte de las unidades operaron bajo rendimientos crecientes.
