El profesor universitario en la contemporaneidad

Abstract

La educación, la Universidad y en particular, el profesor universitario son considerados como los portadores de una gran responsabilidad ante los continuos cambios que afronta nuestra sociedad. Este texto pretende efectuar una reflexión acerca de las relaciones entre el contexto de la sociedad y la universidad, en los ámbitos latinoamericano y colombiano que invite a pensar el papel del profesor universitario, los obstáculos y condiciones de realización de su trabajo académico. Se busca la comprensión de la complejidad de su papel a fin de revalorar su función desde una postura crítica donde se analice lo complejo, contingente y alternativo. El texto presenta tres apartados:los avatares de nuestra sociedad, la universidad y el rol del profesor universitario.
