Abstract

Este artículo analiza la integración entre las empresas de servicios intensivos en cono-cimiento (kibs) y la manufactura, partiendo de que esta genera alto crecimiento econó-mico local y competitividad. Se utilizan técnicas espaciales de análisis de patrones de puntos. Se estudian dos zonas metropolitanas del centro de México, Toluca y Querétaro, ambas próximas a Ciudad de México, cuyo desarrollo industrial ha sido distinto. A pesar de sus diferencias, los resultados sugieren que los kibs se enlazan a la industria del transporte, motor de las exportaciones mexicanas y clave en la consolidación en las cadenas globales de valor
