Elasticidades de sustitución de las importaciones para la Economía Colombiana

Abstract

en este artículo se presenta la estimación de las elasticidades de sustitución entre bienes importados y bienes domésticos, para ocho sectores de la economía colombiana, que pueden ser utilizadas en la construcción de un modelo de equilibrio general computable para Colombia. Se encontró que las elasticidades de sustitución fluctúan entre 0.85 y 0.13 excluyendo el sector de minería y petróleo. Además, hay evidencia de que las decisiones de demanda para los insumos, importados y domésticos, cambió a partir de la liberación comercial a principios de los anos noventa.
