Percepción empresarial de la pandemia por COVID-19 y su impacto en el turismo: un análisis cualitativo del destino Extremadura, Espana

Abstract

La pandemia de la COVID-19 ha provocado importantes perturbaciones en el sector turístico. Esta situación ha obligado a los agentes sectoriales a adoptar importantes medidas, pero también ha generado nuevas oportunidades de negocio. A partir de herramientas de análisis cualitativo, este trabajo analizó la percepción de los empresarios del sector sobre la pandemia por COVID-19 y esbozó las medidas que se deben adoptar para ayudar a la recuperación del sector en Extremadura, un destino turístico emergente de interior en el suroeste de Espana. Los resultados muestran que la principal preocupación de los empresarios es el impacto económico que la crisis está teniendo en sus negocios, además de las principales medidas que los empresarios turísticos solicitan para superar esta situación.
